Multi-Field Editor
The multi-field editor in NocoDB lets you manage all fields of a table in one place. Use it to add, change, rename, reorder, or hide fields. It is useful when you create a new table structure or change an existing one.
Accessing the Multi-Field Editor
- Open the table that you want to edit.
- In the toolbar, click
Tools. - Select
Manage fields.

Adding fields
On the Multi-field editor page:
- Click
New field, or pressAltC. - Enter the field name.
- Select the field type.
- Set the default value (optional). The field shows at the end of the list, marked
New field. You can reorder it from there. You can add and update more fields before you save. - Click
Save changes, or pressCmdS. The changes are applied.

- You can add, update, and delete many fields, and then save all changes at one time.
- Use
Restoreto discard the edits to one field. UseResetto discard all current changes in the multi-field editor.
Editing fields
On the Multi-field editor page:
- Click the field that you want to edit.
- In the properties panel on the right, make your changes. You can change the field name, type, default value, and other attributes. The list marks the field
Updated fieldand shows aRestorebutton.Restorediscards the edits to this field only. You can update more fields before you save. - Click
Save changes. The changes are applied.

Deleting fields
On the Multi-field editor page:
- Hover over the field that you want to delete.
- Click the
...icon. The field menu opens. The menu also shows the field ID and a button to copy it. - Click
Delete field. The list marks the fieldDeleted fieldand shows aRestorebutton. You can delete more fields before you save. - Click
Save changes. The changes are applied.

Reordering fields
On the Multi-field editor page, drag a field by its drag-drop handle to a new position.
NocoDB saves the changes only when you click Save changes.
Show / Hide fields
On the Multi-field editor page, click the eye icon next to a field. This hides the field in the current view. Click the icon again to show the field.
NocoDB saves the changes only when you click Save changes.
