Dashboard
A Dashboard page shows a high-level view of your data. It uses widgets on a flexible grid. Other layouts connect to one table, but a dashboard page does not. Each widget connects to its own table or view. Thus, one dashboard can summarize data from all of the base.

Arranging widgets
While you edit, drag widgets to move them. To change their size on the 12-column grid of the page, use the resize handles. To configure a widget, click it. Its settings open in the properties panel.
You can put widgets in groups. A group header has a title, which wraps across lines when necessary. It can also have an optional rich-text description that viewers see.
A group header can also have buttons. These buttons can open a record creation form for the table of the group, go to a page or external URL, or run an automation.
Adding widgets
Click Add widget and select a widget from the palette:

| Widget | Description |
|---|---|
| Static text | Headings, paragraphs and rich notes. Supports formatting, alignment and callout tints. |
| Divider | Separates sections visually. |
| Number | One headline metric: a record count or a field aggregation (sum, average, min, max). Appearance options include default, filled and colored themes. |
| Bar Chart | Compares values across categories. |
| Line Chart | Shows trends over a sequence. |
| Pie Chart | Shows the share of a whole for each category. |
| Donut Chart | Shows the share of a whole, with a center cutout. |
| Treemap | Shows proportions as tiles of different sizes. |
| Scatter Plot | Shows the correlation of two numeric fields. |
| Gauge | Shows the progress of a metric against colored ranges. |
| Pivot | Summarizes records across two fields, with rows, columns and totals. |
| View | Embeds a full visualization (Grid, Gallery, Kanban, List, Calendar or Timeline) in the dashboard. |
| iFrame | Embeds an external page by URL. |
Configuring widgets
Widgets that show data have the same configuration steps in the properties panel:
| Setting | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Data source | The table or view that the widget reads from. You can also add filters for the widget. |
| Value | A record count or a field aggregation (sum, average, min, max). |
| Appearance | Theme colors, legends and labels. |

Chart data
Bar, line and scatter charts show data on two axes:
| Axis | Settings |
|---|---|
| X-axis | The field on the axis, its sort order and a category limit. You can also set if empty values get their own category, and if NocoDB combines the remaining categories into an "Others" category. An optional legend title is also the axis caption. |
| Y-axis (left) | One or more fields, each with its own aggregation and color. Add fields to show more than one series on the same axis. You can set an axis label. Use Start at zero to start the axis at zero. |
| Y-axis (right) | Turn on Show this axis to show one more series against a secondary axis on the right. This series has its own field, aggregation, color, Start at zero setting and Type: Bar, Line or Scatter. When you mix types, a line can show over bars, for example. |

Pie, donut and treemap charts do not use axes. You configure Categories and one Values entry: a record count or a field aggregation.
Chart appearance
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Bar orientation | Shows bar charts horizontally or vertically. |
| Legend orientation | Left, right, top, bottom or hidden. NocoDB offers a legend when it adds information: always for pie and donut charts, and for other charts when they show more than one series. Show record count in legend adds counts to legend entries. |
| Smooth lines and Plot dots on lines | Appearance toggles for line series. |
| Show values on chart (bar, line, scatter, treemap) or Show percentage on chart (pie, donut) | Shows each value directly on the chart. |
| Size | Small, Medium or Large. |
The Gauge widget uses a metric and a set of ranges. Each range has its own color, minimum, maximum and label.
