Send and receive SMS messages using Twilio.

The Twilio integration in NocoDB lets a workflow send messages or make phone calls from your bases.

  <Prompt>

## Prerequisites

* **Twilio account**: To learn about Twilio and create an account, go to the [Twilio website](https://www.twilio.com/). Also refer to the [Twilio documentation](https://www.twilio.com/docs/).
* **NocoDB Twilio integration**: You must configure at least one Twilio integration to use this feature. For setup instructions, refer to [Integrations](/docs/product/integrations/create-connection).

***

The Twilio node in NocoDB has **three sub-actions**:

* Send SMS
* Send WhatsApp Message
* Call Phone

You can add each sub-action as a workflow step and configure it independently.

## Testing the Action

Each Twilio action has a **Test Step** option. Use it to:

* Validate the credentials and the configuration.
* Confirm that the message is delivered or the call is made.
* Test with data from previously tested workflow steps.

## Notes & Limitations

* You must configure and enable the phone numbers in Twilio.
* Media URLs must be publicly accessible.
* Alphanumeric Sender IDs depend on the country. They need Twilio approval before you use them.
* Message delivery and call availability depend on Twilio and on regional regulations.

## Availability

* Available on NocoDB cloud enterprise plan onwards and licensed on-premise deployments.
