Start NocoDB workflows when new events are created in Google Calendar.

NocoDB connects to Google Calendar, so you can start workflows from calendar events in your bases. With the Google Calendar integration, a workflow starts when a new event is created on a calendar.

## Prerequisites

* **Google account**: To learn more about Google Calendar, go to the [Google Calendar website](https://calendar.google.com/) and refer to the [Google Calendar documentation](https://support.google.com/calendar/).
* **NocoDB Google Calendar integration**: For setup instructions, refer to [Integrations](/docs/product/integrations/create-connection). You must configure at least one Google Calendar integration to use this feature.

***

At this time, the Google Calendar node in NocoDB supports **one trigger**:

* New Event Created

## Trigger

### New Event Created

Use this trigger to start a workflow when a new event is created on a selected Google Calendar.

{/* ![Google Calendar Trigger](/img/v2/workflow/nodes/integration/google-calendar/new-event-trigger.png) */}

{/* PLACEHOLDER_IMAGE: new-event-trigger.png */}

**Configuration**

* **Google Calendar Account:**
  Select the connected Google Calendar account. For setup instructions, refer to [Integrations](/docs/product/integrations/create-connection). You must add at least one Google Calendar integration to use this feature.

* **Calendar:**
  Select the calendar to monitor for new events. The default is the primary calendar.

### Output Data

When the trigger fires, later workflow steps can use this event data:

* **Event details:** id, status, summary, description, location, htmlLink
* **Timestamps:** created, updated
* **Creator & Organizer:** email, displayName
* **Start & End time:** date, dateTime, timeZone
* **Attendees:** email, displayName, responseStatus, optional, organiser
* **Additional:** hangoutLink, conferenceData, recurringEventId

## Testing the Trigger

The Google Calendar trigger has a **Test Step** option.

Use it to:

* Make sure that the credentials and configuration are correct
* Make sure that the webhook gets event data
* Test with sample data, or create a real calendar event

## Notes & Limitations

* When you publish the workflow, NocoDB automatically creates the webhook. When you unpublish the workflow, NocoDB removes the webhook.
* At this time, the only supported trigger event is the creation of a new event.
* The authenticated Google account must have access to the selected calendar.
