Bring employee data from your HR system into NocoDB with automatic syncs.

Use HRIS Sync to import employee, employment, and location information from your Human Resources Information System. It follows a predefined schema that makes HR data the same across systems. Use it to build headcount reports, org views, and people dashboards on information that is always current.

Current supported sources include:

* BambooHR

You can sync **all tables** in the HRIS schema or **only specific tables**:

| Option | Result |
| ------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **all tables** | Gives full context and complete relationships. |
| **only specific tables** | Reduces sync time and resource usage, based on the needs of your workflow. |

## Available Tables

Each table maps to a well-defined set of fields, so the structure stays the same. App Sync also includes relational fields that connect these tables as necessary. The Employee table is essential, and App Sync always includes it. The Employment and Location tables are optional.

### **HR\_Employee**

Represents the core people directory, with one record for each employee.
**Key fields include:**

| Field | Description |
| ------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| **Employee Number** | The unique identifier from the source system. |
| **First Name / Last Name / Preferred Name** | The names of the employee. |
| **Work Email / Personal Email** | The email addresses on record. |
| **Mobile Phone Number** | The contact number. |
| **Department / Team** | The place of the employee in the organization. |
| **Manager** | The reporting manager of the employee. |
| **Employment Status** | The current status, such as Active or Terminated. |
| **Start Date / Termination Date** | The start and end dates of the employment. |
| **Date Of Birth / Gender / Marital Status / Ethnicity** | Personal details, where the source provides them. |
| **Avatar** | A link to the profile image of the employee. |

Each employee links to **Employment** and **Location** records when those tables are synced.

Each Employment record links to its **Employee**.

### **HR\_Location**

Represents the work locations that employee records refer to.
**Key fields include:**

| Field | Description |
| ----------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------- |
| **Name** | The location name. |
| **Location Type** | The type, such as office or remote. |

Each location links to the **Employees** at that location.

## Metadata Fields

Each synced table in the HRIS category includes a set of metadata fields. These fields track the lifecycle, state, and origin of each record. They show how data flows from the external source into NocoDB. They are important for traceability, debugging, and audit requirements.

App Sync manages these metadata fields automatically. They are read-only.

| Field | Description |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **RemoteId** | The unique identifier of the record in the external source system. |
| **RemoteCreatedAt** | The timestamp when the record was first created in the source. |
| **RemoteUpdatedAt** | The timestamp of the most recent update in the source. |
| **RemoteDeleted** | Shows if the record was deleted in the source platform. App Sync uses this especially when the delete behavior is set to **Ignore**. |
| **RemoteDeletedTime** | The timestamp when the record was deleted in the source, if applicable. |
| **RemoteRaw** | The raw payload from the provider for that record. Use it for troubleshooting, verification, or advanced integrations. |
| **RemoteNamespace** | The origin company or account in the HR system. |
| **RemoteSyncedAt** | The last timestamp when NocoDB synced this record. |
| **SyncConfigId** | An internal reference to the sync configuration for this record. |
| **SyncRunId** | The sync run that last updated this record. |
| **SyncProvider** | The external service (such as BambooHR) that the record came from. |
