Use NocoDB Bookmarks to pin workspaces, bases, tables, views, documents, dashboards, workflows, and scripts to a personal flyout for one-click access.

**Bookmarks** are personal shortcuts to the items that you open most. You can pin a workspace, base, table, view, document, dashboard, workflow, or script. The item then shows in your bookmark flyout for one-click access, in all workspaces. Bookmarks are private to you. Your teammates never see your list.

## Open the flyout

In the workspace dock, click the **Bookmark** icon. The dock is the vertical bar on the far left of the screen. The flyout opens next to the dock. It lists your bookmarks in folders.

## Add a bookmark

You can pin the current page. You can also pin an item from its own menu, without leaving the current page.

### Bookmark the current page

1. Open the flyout.
2. In the flyout header, click the **⋮**.
3. Select **Bookmark this page**. The new bookmark goes into **Ungrouped**.

### Bookmark from a menu

Open the options menu of the item and select **Add to Bookmarks**.

| Where | What you can bookmark |
| ---------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| The `⋮` next to an item in the project sidebar | Bases, tables, views, documents, dashboards, workflows, scripts |
| The view options menu in the toolbar | Views |
| The home sidebar or base list modal | Workspaces |

## Remove a bookmark

Use the method that is easiest for you:

| Where                                      | Do this                                                        |
| ------------------------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| In the flyout | Click the bookmark's `⋮` and select **Remove from Bookmarks**. |
| In the sidebar or toolbar menu of the item | Select **Remove from Bookmarks**. |
| On the bookmarked page | Open the flyout's **⋮** and select **Remove page bookmark**. |

Bookmarks clean themselves up. If someone deletes the target, or you lose access to it, NocoDB removes the bookmark from your list automatically.

## Find and open a bookmark

In the flyout header, click the search icon and type. NocoDB filters bookmarks by title in all folders. Folders with no matches stay hidden until you clear the search. To go back to the full list, press <kbd>Esc</kbd>.

<img alt="Search bookmarks" src={__img4} placeholder="blur" />

To open a bookmark, click it. To open it in a new tab, <kbd>Cmd</kbd>/<kbd>Ctrl</kbd>-click it, or select **Open in new tab** from its `⋮`. Titles and icons refresh in the background. Thus renamed or recolored items stay up to date.

## Organize with folders

Folders group bookmarks. Each folder has its own color, so you can scan a long list quickly.

<Callout type="info">

   is created automatically with your first bookmark and stays pinned to the top of the flyout. New bookmarks land here, as do bookmarks from a deleted folder. It cannot be renamed, recolored, deleted, or reordered.
</Callout>

### Create a folder

1. In the flyout header, click the **⋮**.
2. Select **New folder**.
3. Type a name and press <kbd>Enter</kbd>. To cancel, press <kbd>Esc</kbd>.

The folder shows directly below **Ungrouped**. NocoDB gives it a random color.

### Move bookmarks into a folder

| Method            | Do this                                                                                                      |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Drag and drop** | Drag a bookmark onto a folder, or onto a position in a folder. A blue line shows where the bookmark will go. |
| **Move to** | Right-click a bookmark, or click its `⋮`. Select **Move to**, then select the destination folder. |

<img alt="Drag a bookmark between folders" src={__img8} placeholder="blur" />

<img alt="Bookmark Move to submenu" src={__img9} placeholder="blur" />

### Customize a folder

To open the folder menu, right-click a folder header, or click its `⋮`.

| Option            | What it does                                                          |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Icon colour** | Recolors the folder icon from the palette |
| **Rename**        | Edits the name inline; <kbd>Enter</kbd> saves, <kbd>Esc</kbd> cancels |
| **Delete folder** | Removes the folder and moves its bookmarks to **Ungrouped** |

<img alt="Folder options menu" src={__img10} placeholder="blur" />

### Arrange folders

To change the order of folders, drag a folder header up or down. **Ungrouped** always stays on top. To collapse or expand a folder, click its header. You can also use **Collapse all** and **Expand all** in the **⋮** menu of the flyout header.

<img alt="Collapse all and Expand all in the flyout header menu" src={__img11} placeholder="blur" />

## Edit several bookmarks at once

To start edit mode, click the **edit** icon in the flyout header. Checkboxes show next to each bookmark and folder.

1. To select or clear a bookmark, click its row. A folder checkbox selects all bookmarks in that folder.
2. Use the action bar at the bottom of the flyout. Its **⋮** menu has **Move to**, **Open**, **Open in new tab**, and **Delete**. The two open actions work only with one selected bookmark. **Delete** asks for confirmation first.
3. To leave edit mode, click **×** in the action bar, or click the edit icon again.

<img alt="Edit mode with multiple bookmarks selected and the Move to submenu open" src={__img12} placeholder="blur" />

Bulk actions never delete the folders.

## Availability

* **Bookmarks** are available on **NocoDB Cloud** (Plus plan and above) and on licensed self-hosted deployments (Business plan and above).
