NocoDB pricing is transparent, scalable, and business-friendly: you pay for at most 9 editor seats.

The NocoDB pricing model is made for growing businesses. With our "**pay for 9, get unlimited**" approach, you never pay for more than 9 editor seats, for any team size. Your costs stay predictable, and the value increases as your organization grows.

## Understanding User Roles and Billing
### Billable vs. Non-Billable Users
**Billable Users (Editors):** Team members who can create, change, or delete data.
**Non-Billable Users (Always Free):** Team members with view-only or limited access.

## The "Pay for 9, Get Unlimited" Model
**How It Works**
1. **You pay for only the first 9 editor seats**, for any number of editors.
2. **Every editor beyond the 9th is completely free**, with no limits and no restrictions.
3. **Start with any number**. Start with 1-2 users and grow naturally.
4. **Automatic billing cap**. NocoDB stops charging after the 9th editor.

**Scenario:** Your company has 45 users in total, in different departments.
* **25 editors** (Sales, Operations, Product teams who need to update data)
* **20 commenters/viewers** (Executives, stakeholders who review reports)
**What you pay for:**
* Only 9 editor seats (not all 25 editors)
* 0 seats for commenters/viewers
**Your cost:** The same as a 9-person team, but 45 people use the platform.

## Included usage credits
Each NocoDB Cloud plan includes a monthly allowance of **credits**. Credits are the usage unit for NocoDB AI, script execution, and AI web search:

## Changing plans
You can change your plan at any time from the billing dashboard.

| --------- | -------------------------------------------------- |
| Upgrade | Immediately. NocoDB bills you on a prorated basis. |
| Downgrade | At the end of your current billing cycle. |
Please ensure your workspace usage fits within the limits of the downgraded plan (record limits, storage, etc.).

## Access your invoices
To view and download your invoices, go to **Settings** > **Billing** in the workspace sidebar. There you can see past invoices and their statuses, and download them for your records. For more details, refer [here](/docs/product/workspaces/billing#download-invoices).
## Cancel your plan
You can cancel your paid plan at any time from the billing dashboard. After you cancel, your workspace stays on the current plan until the end of the billing period. Then it moves to the Free plan automatically, and NocoDB stops all charges.
Before canceling, ensure you’ve backed up any data or features available only in paid plans, as these may become unavailable after the downgrade.

## Frequently Asked Questions
### Can I change user roles after setup?
Yes. You can change Commenters to Editors, or Editors to Commenters, at any time. Billing changes automatically to match your current number of editors (up to 9 paid seats).
### What happens if I temporarily need more than 9 editors?
Your billing does not change. Add all the editors you need. You still pay for only 9 seats.
### Do I need to commit to 9 seats upfront?
No. Start with the number of editors that you need today. You pay only for active editor seats, up to 9.
### How does annual vs. monthly billing work?
Annual billing gives the prices shown above. It costs 20% less than monthly billing.
